Man-Woman...Mars-Venus...on Earth!

I believe that Men are actually from Mars and Women are indeed from Venus. With the differences that we have, it is not possible that these creatures are from the same planet. They have just met on this third planet and have agreed to live together. They need each other, and the void the other one creates cannot be filled by anyone else. Why else would they leave a favorable environment for their lives and come and stay with someone who is a complete contrast to their personality?

I have read 2 books by Dr. John Gray on this topic: Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and Why Mars & Venus Collide. I personally believe that everyone - in a relationship or not or even planning to be in one, should read these books. The book gives an insight on why men or women react / think / behave in a certain manner which seems unreasonable / absurd / silly to the opposite person.

It also throws light on the present lifestyle changes in men & women. With women donning the role of man by working, there are chances of conflicts arising in the best of relationships. Men don't like to come home to a complaining wife and upon encountering such a situation retreat in their "cave". Women who always are used to talking to someone about their problems suddenly don't find anyone to talk to and share with. This makes them even more cranky and irritable.

These books have suggestions which improve the communication between men & women and if applied in real life will definitely improve lives of many individuals. I am not here to promote this book, the book doesn't need it. I just feel that if there is something which give answers to so many of your questions, then why not use it. Why not make life better.

Unlike the pre-historic days, women today are not just restricted to taking care of the home and children. Every couple wants to have a double salary to sustain in this demanding world. Women are going out to work and balancing a home too. Men are not restricted to just providing the means to run the home anymore, they have to actually participate in the daily chores and looking after the children. Only when both the man and the woman help out each other and try to create a balance in their activities, will they ensure the smooth running of their lives.

We did not get to see much of the men helping out in house-hold activities in our parents' generation. However, the present generation doesn't have much issues in dealing with the situation. But then not many women of our parents' generation did go out to work. And those who did and balanced their home, children and husband with lot of efforts and hats off to them.

So, I have said what I felt and am now wondering on what note should I end this topic? Maybe by suggesting that everyone should once try to read these books. Don't start reading them with a cynical approach. So all Martians & Venusians just a few simple things here n there are going to make this ride on Earth a smooth one for each one of us.
