Relationships - Analogies
We come across some analogies everyday for something, so what about relationships. They are fragile and usually associated with glass. The famous quote being - "Relationships are like glass, once broken can be mended, but the crack is always there." I agree with this, however, I came up with another comparison, while showering today. Things I think of! So here goes my bit of philosophy for today...
Relationship is like a delicate and intricate lace. In one lace, there will be various levels of complex designs and stitches. These are the various relationships you have in life. And you are the thread used in the lace. The thread would determine how strong the lace is, how much wear and tear it can withstand, as the same time, how delicate it would look!
When one thread in the lace gets strained or pulled, it affects the entire design and pattern. Just like in life, when there is a strain in one relation, it gradually starts affecting the other relationships as well. To prevent permanent damage, either the pulled or strained thread should be relaxed from the other end, or simply snipped off! Either way, the design wont remain the same and the lace would suffer some damage.
Even the strongest of threads will tend to have some pulls or strains in due course of time and minor tweaks would need to be done to mend it. Sometimes, experts can work wonders on these laces and fix the damages. They do it so well that it would not visible to the untrained eye. Such experts would be counselors in terms of relationships. However, it is important to know when to visit the expert.
Such analogies will always come up for relationships, since they are the what life is all about. Enough gyaan for the day I suppose. I should be getting back to the real world now.
