Remakes!!

I happened to watch the promos of Ram Gopal Varma ki AAG!! [read this too]( y not just call it AAG???), neway after all the controversy and hype surrounding the movie....i was wondering wat it is goin to be like. Except RGV's claim about it being made on the same lines as Sholay, in today's world...nothin else is same.

For starters, there is Ajay Devgan doin the role which Dharmendra did!!! dunno bout u guys but i was shocked. I am not very big fan of AD (agree he acts well), but this guy is a serious actor and i really dont find him to be that gr8 in comic roles. (But then again, maybe he isnt goin to be funny in the movie at all......its RGV's adaptation..remember..Kuch bhi ho sakta hai!)
Then rest of the cast is quite strange too....The Big B vs Amjad Khan [:(], Nisha Kothari [ermmm] vs Hema Malini (do u think thr is any comparison??), Sushmita Sen vs Jaya Bachchan [ok ok] and Mohanlal vs Sanjeev Kumar [cant comment coz i havent seen Mohanlal act...but heard he is good]

Well comin back to the topic y i started to write on Remakes is the song Mehbooba. Now, i havent been such a Big fan of the original, but i like Helen. She has always n i mean Always been graceful. I doubt whether she has ever looked bad in any of her dances wearin the ugliest of clothes!
Since our News Channels are always in the lookout for Making news, i came across this piece of news wherein, Urmila Matondkar was talking bout how much she respects Helenji n that thr is no comparison. After watchin the song (n cringing while watchin it) i can only tell Ms. Matondkar to puhlease not even mention Helen's name when talking bout her own performance in the song.
The song is a DISASTER!! its outright cheap and vulgar. Her clothes and steps are so pathetic and disgusting......it shld be an offense to even say that the original was performed by Helen!

Mallika Sherawat (who is considered vulgar as compared to Urmila) shld be given credit...as she has performed the song much much better in the HimessBhai ka Debut Movie! (here plz take note..i am only comparing the Mallika with Urmila's performance and have watched Mallika's song just once to compare!)

I think film makers who opt to remake a Classic, shld remember that they are takin a MAJOR responsibility. If they cant do justice to it stay away from it and try to search for some creative people who can give them good ideas to work on!!!

N i pray that Helen doesnt watch the song!!!
